College Basketball Area

Does every college and university in the United States have a basketball team? Sure seems like it. As with all college sports, some teams and leagues compete in all sports, while other do not.
Basketball in the NCAA is aligned along the traditional conferences. The Final Four Championship (March Madness) tournament is held yearly by the NCA, A to declare a Division I champion. There are also separate championship tournaments for Division II and Division II schools.
Canadian Universities also have organized basketball as a sport. We have listed the leagues and links for reference.

The NCAA Mens Division I Basketball season would not be complete without "March Madness", the single game elimination tournament that determines an overall champion.
Teams not invited to the championship tournament may be invired to play in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) at the end of the season.
