Canadian Junior A (Tier II) Championship Format

The 1988-89 Manitoba Centennial Trophy tournament was a four-team round-robin format. The second place and third place teams advanced to a single game elimination series, to meet the first place team in the final. The participating teams were the three regional champions and a host team.
