Liberty Bowl Information
 | The Liberty Bowl is a NCAA football bowl game played in December of each year from 1959 to 2007 and in January in 2009 and 2010.
Since 1965, the game has been held at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee. For its first five years, it was played in Philadelphia.
Since 2004, the game has been sponsored by Memphis-based auto parts retailer AutoZone, calling it the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.
Typically the game matched the Conference USA champion with a team from the SEC. Currently the game matches a team from the Big 12 and the SEC.
