Cotton Bowl Classic Information

The Cotton Bowl Classic is a NCAA football bowl game that had the second-choice team of the Big 12 against the third- or fourth-choice team of the SEC. The game was played annually since 1937 at the Cotton Bowl stadium in Dallas, Texas. Beginning on January 1, 2010 the game was played at Cowboys Stadium in nearby Arlington, Texas. In 2013 it was announced that the Cotton Bowl would join the College Football Playoff system as a rotating host for semifinal games, beginning in 2014.
